Description
Personal Software Process
The Personal Software Process (PSP) addresses an individual developer's ability to consistently deliver high quality software products in a timely manner. This technology was developed by Watts Humphrey of the SEI as an extension to his earlier CMM work. It has been demonstrated that projects staffed with PSP trained engineers produce extremely low defect density software on schedule.
PSP Executive Seminar
The executive seminar has been proven very effective at building top level commitment to the PSP. It is an excellent kickoff activity for a PSP pilot project or as a low cost mechanism for building executive understanding. The seminar consists of seven lectures and six exercises with time devoted to addressing the organization's specific needs.
During the Seminar, participants will...
• Become familiar with PSP concepts
• Learn how PSP can improve software development activities
• Learn how PSP can be used to manage engineers and projects
• Understand relationship between PSP and SPI
• Appreciate potential benefits of PSP
• Establish organizational PSP direction
Our Goal...
is to be THE organization specializing in solving DoD specific barriers to PSP adoption and in successfully inserting PSP into the DoD software culture
Prerequisites None, although a programming background is helpful.
