Measurement Capability Evaluation

Intended For... An organization that needs to improve it's software measurement capabilities
Location The STSC will travel to the customer's location to conduct the interviews. Lead Time Typical lead time is one month, based on availability of the evaluators Duration The interview portion of the evaluation lasts one to two days. The evaluation report is prepared at the STSC subsequent to the interviews and takes about two weeks to create.	Evaluator Information The Software Technology Support Center (STSC) uses personnel experienced in evaluating measurement programs to conduct the Measurement Capability Evaluation. Description

The Measurement Capability Evaluation (MCE):
• Determines a customer's current measurement capability
• Establish a measurement capability baseline against which progress can be measured
• Provides a detailed report of the customer's measurement strengths and areas for improvement
• Establishes a common understanding of steps that can be taken to improve the customer's measurement capabilities

At the Conclusion... Participants will:
•	Receive a detailed report that identifies their measurement capabilities and recommends steps for improvement.
