The Project Management Team provides consultation services for U.S. Air Force and other DoD organizations in project management "technology" (methods, practices, techniques, and tools). A focus on adoption of field-proven technologies for managing a project to its successful end is the hallmark of the STSC's quality service.

Project Management focuses on the concepts and principles required to plan a project and manage all aspects of the project to a successful completion as viewed by customers. The STSC's Project Management Team assists U.S. Air Force and other DoD organizations identify, evaluate, and adopt project management technologies that improve software product quality, production, efficiency, and predictability. The term technology is used in its broadest sense to include project management methods, practices, techniques and tools that enhance human capability. Our focus is on field-proven project management technologies.

DoD and non DoD software development organizations emphasize the SEI's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Project Management encompasses several Process Areas (PAs) within the CMMI. For example, noteworthy PAs are Project Planning, Project Monitoring and Control, and Requirements Management.

We work alongside the customer to ensure a successful identification, evaluation or adoption of Project Management technologies that improve your project management capabilities.
